Report: Morris to Redskins

CSN Washington first reported this evening that former Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris will be joining the Redskins. This was first reported by the St. Petersburg Times. Just last week, the Redskins front office had dinner with Morris.

Most likely, Morris will be brought on as the new defensive backs coach for the Redskins.

The Redskins also fired two of their position coaches today. Safeties coach Steve Jackson and wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell were let go. Jackson had been with the team since 2004.

Morris does have two major ties with the Redskins. He has worked with both offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and general manager Bruce Allen while they were on the Tampa Bay staff.
